Both Pastor Earl and Arlene Stubbs are wonderful, loving, caring, Man and women of God. They have been blessing to many and a blessing to our family.

No words can describe their humbleness and eagerness to attend one's concern.

We will definelty miss him from today 07/15/2008 and forever. May his soul rest in peace and we are sure we will meet him in Heaven. We pray Gods love and comfort upon their family specially sister Arlene and their daughters, son-in-laws and grand children.

No words can convey the sense of loss, and also thanksgiving, one feels at hearing this news.

I have had the privilege of queueing up for a front seat to hear him speak the Word of God with such power and conviction at the New Life AG from around 2000 till mid-2006.

He is unarguably one of the most gifted and blessed men of God I have come across. What distinguishes him, for me, has been his absolute integrity and utter commitment to the cause of Christ, and, of course, his charming smile and down-to-earth personality and humity.

When many churches and preachers gravitate away from Christ, Pastor Stubbs stood as a Rock, a lamp lit on a hill, and I have never been more anxious ever in my life to get to church on a Sunday morning! And to think that he preached three sermons a day!

His integrity, his exemplary life and commitment will always inspire me and prove any critic of Christianity wrong. At a time when so-called Christians in India are queueing up outside foreign embassies for a visa, the Stubbs left everything behind to serve God in this country.

Although I do not subscribe to the Pentecostal doctrine of a 'second blessing' and so on, I have felt the hand of God upon Pastor Stubbs every time he preached. And despite dostrinal differences I stayed on because he was truly a 'Man of God' in every sense of the term!

We will have to wait till eternity to see the full extent of the results of his labor, but I am sure there will be thousands in heaven because of him and his strong preaching.

I cherish a photograph I took with him on a New Year watchnight service and had him autograph it before I left Hyderabad. It still stands framed on my table even today.

One of the greatest messages of his that I remember [and whose CDs I bought] was the one on Ruth - 'The Best is Yet to Come'. I still listen to it every now and then. In it, he quoted John Piper to say, "The life of the godly is not a straight line to glory, but they do get there."

I am glad that finally my Pastor and Brother has made it to glory!

Halleluiah!

Do we grieve then as the pagans do who have no hope?

God forbid, for right now he sits in the presence of God in glory and the Father Himself has welcomed him into the glorious presence of the Holy Trinity with these amazing words, "Well done good and faithful servant!"

Finally, a word for the living, for his most beloved family. I remember how he'd [half-?] jokingly refer to his wife as his angel in the course of some sermons. There is no doubt that he was blessed with this great family and he would never have been able to do what he has accomplished except for the love and support of his loving family. Arlene Stubbs was indeed his angel with her gracious demeanor, the twinkle in her eyes and the love in her heart. Thank you Sister.

Soli Deo Gloria

Pastor Earl Stubbs is someone I will remember for the rest of my life. Now he is seated with Christ as an excellent faithful servant!

He dedicated both our children Karen and Yaron, baptised my wife Mary and trained us in ministry, helped us find our vision, what more could I ask for as a blessing from above!

Awesome role model and to all in AG's Sec'Bad, he has proved that waiting on the Holy Spirit brings results that God wants to give to his church.

From a few people he started the church and the lord blessed him with a congregation of thousands and many of whom have never heard the Gospel before.

He looked beyond the so called churchs' physical structure of a land or a building. He has indeed taught all of us that God's kingdom is a spiritual building built with lost human souls brought into the kingdom by sheer obedience and hard work.

I think the church should promise to keep his legacy going with the same strength and energy as he led us for over two decades.

I do hope sister Stubbs continues at AG's sec'bad to hold the church together and I pray for the comfort of our Lord to be with her and all she needs now is the immense warmth of congregation who are going through the same pain as she is. She is blessed to be our family member as we are blessed to have her part of our family.

May the lord continue to comfort all of us and lead us forward in his unfinished work.

There's a special angel in heaven
That is a part of our family
It is not where we wanted him
But where God wanted him to be

He was here but just a moment
Like a night time shooting star
And though he is in heaven
He isn't very far

He touched the heart of many
Like only an angel can do
We would've hugged him last Sunday
If the end we only knew

So we send this special message
To the heavens up above
Please take care of our angel
And send him all our love

We love you pastor Stubbs and will miss you

I feel sad for loss of a God Servant..I miss him, I never forget his message on Topic 'SALT' sometime in the year 2000..and his closing songs especially the one he sings with his heart 'BECAUSE HE LIVES' at the closing..

God has blessed me and my family by allowing us to come in contact with the Stubbs. We have been blessed by your ministry and I can say for a fact that we would not be the only ones with the same testimony. I remember that when I was getting married and informed Ps. Stubbs about the date, his reaction was "All great things happen in December 18th" as it was his birthday (he said this with a wink).

The past few months Ps. Stubbs had been preaching al lot on family & family values. He was for sure a vessel from GOD as he always had the right message at the right time.

I believe that Ps. Stubbs is interceding in Heaven for us.

Ps. & sisters Stubbs, thank you for your ministry & sacrifice to India esp. Hyderabad (NLAG).

Though our hearts are heavy with grief we Praise God for the life of our beloved Pastor Stubbs. We thank God for the gift of this great Pastor the Lord gave us. Though many memeories flood our mind at this time about our association with him there are certain things we learnt that just stand out.
WE learnt spiritual leadership from him. So humble and yet so clear about the prompting of the Holy Spirit in every word he uttered. His sense of humour was truly unmatched. He would often tell the church that christians should not be like expressionless water buffaloe! The way he acted it out stays so clearly in our minds.
Always a word of Godly counsel whenever we went to him for advise.
It was really a privilege for us for 15 years, the time that we are with the church in Secunderabad to hear him speak week after week. His last message on being a true disciple giving examples from his own ministry and life is etched in our hearts.
Truly like a soldier he finished his task assigned to him in perfection and bid good bye.
Adieu Pastor Stubbs! We will certainly hold on to the strong teachings from God's word. Sister Stubbs we are with you and praying for you constantly as we walk through the valley.
love

THE PERFECTION – PASTOR STUBBS

Every festive season Pastor Stubbs reaches the perfection in planning and execution.

Each time be it contada /drama or choir practice. Stage or food/snacks, parking, welcome he used to ask the GOD “ Is it ok or how is it?, God always smiles at him, yes my dear son, it is wonderful. This has been a regular phenomenon for more than 25 years in Hyderabad and some many years in India during his ministry.

This time on 15.7.08, the Pastor was preparing for the 25th anniversary and he wanted more perfection in the drama/choir, preparations etc,and asked GOD as usual.

But HE was little busy(?), and HE told pastor Stubbs, why do not u come to me and see whether your preparation is good or not instead of asking me every time and takes a good remark from me.

This is the reason why Pastor Stubbs is not among us but with the GOD and interceding for us for HIS perfection.

Now, every service including his funeral was that of prayer and perfection and training.

May all HIS folk stay UNITED in this hour of need and build HIS church for ever and ever…………………Amen.

PS: Since I am not a writer, I am unable to put all my thoughts about our Pastor Stubbs and I still fell his tender and firm hand shake, which is missed till I unite with him (?)

What a Great Man of God he was. He was like a spiritual father to our family and to the whole church. He has been such a blessing to our family and growing spritually week after week and strenghtened our ourselves for the love of christ.

It is such a shock to us that Pastor Stubbs is no more with us and would'nt imagine a sunday service without his presence. It is God's will and pray that his soul may rest in peace, We also pray for Sister Stubbs that she may be comforted and provided the guidence to carry on the flame brighter to the generations.

Our Beloved Pastor Stubbs was a great man of God. He was a spiritual father to our family and to the whole church. He has been such a blessing to our family for growing spiritually and he strengthened ourselves for the love of Christ. Since 1994 I never missed any service, except for a few unavoidable circumstances. I admire the administrative abilities to nurture the whole church, and guide them. His integrity, his exemplary life and commitment will always inspire all the people, and he has passed it on to the next level, and developed pastors with much integrity and honor. I had the privilege of taking baptism along with my wife Mary, and later both my daughters too (Anu and Binu) in the same church. We serve as a family for Jesus Christ under the guidance of this church in various areas. No doubt, he has developed the burning desires in the hearts of many families to server for the God’s Kingdom.

Pastor Stubbs was truly a dedicated man of God. For him the word of god was of paramount importance. I had known his family since 1983 and had the previlege of handling his travel to YSA several times. In fact I came to know that CORINTH was actually a city in Greece through him. He was travelling with his family and mother back to USA and was taking a break in Greece and when I enquired, why Greece, he said that he had a desire to visit corinth and experience the preaching of Paul. He was the humblest of pastors I ever met, softspoken and a gentleman to the core. May god grant him eternal rest. James N KUmar
